
Przemysław Janusz
M.Sc., landscape architect
More than 20 years of passion and experience in the profession: a graduate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, he completed a course in 2014 and was awarded the title of Supervisor of works in green areas, including historic greenery by SITO/NOT No. 07/05/2014; and CID Certified Tree Inspector 2017. He is also an expert in green area design, construction and maintenance of green areas, as well as tree science and arboriculture (cultivation, protection, assessment).
He is the author and co-author of numerous projects of private gardens at home and abroad, including spaces maintained in the spirit of contemporary modernism, landscape, naturalistic, historical, often entered in the register or records of monuments. St James’s Square in Szczyrk, the viewing tower on Śnieżnik, the Ethnographic Park in Ślemień, development around the tower of the President shaft in Chorzów – these are just a few of the projects he has implemented in public spaces. He presented some of his projects as a participant in television programmes, broadcast on TVN, TVN Style, TVN Meteo, TVP1, among others.
He conducts studies and research on new methods of combining architectural form with plant cover. He is the author of studies in the field of dendrology, cultural landscape, revitalisation, revaluation. In addition to his design and research work, he is an ambassador of innovative educational activities, lecturer and ABA Internationale instructor at the Polish School of Dendrology.
He has completed numerous further education courses and trainings, including All Tree Congresses, Tree Felling and Protected Species, Ornithofauna in Tree Diagnosis, Performing Work on Veteran Trees, Construction and Types of Forks in Tree Assessment.
Together with the team of the JANUSZÓWKA Studio, he has won numerous prizes and awards:
- 1st Prize: Best Public Space. Revitalisation of valuable natural areas around the President shaft in Chorzów
- First Prize: Development of Stara Sandecja in Nowy Sącz
- Third place in the national competition Inspirations Arrangements “Classic Modernity” National Association of Garden Makers, Gardenia Garden and Landscaping Fair 2015
- Distinction in the Society of Polish Town Planners’ competition for the best developed public space in Poland
- Distinction by the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship “Best Public Space in the Silesian Voivodeship”.
- Special mention in the competition for the design of the “Marina Club” hotel complex
- Nomination of two projects for the national award of the Society of Polish Town Planners
- Contemporary landscape architecture in Visegrad countries – nomination of one of the ten best projects in Poland
