landscape architect
We believe that the space around each property is an integral part of it, so each garden or public green space project is a personalised or socially-needed proposal. The final design is influenced by both the natural conditions and the aesthetic aspect, as well as the needs of the future users or owners. It is important to us that projects are created independently of the current style and have a timeless character, that they please their owners regardless of the changing trends and that the optimally planned functions guarantee the full comfort of the users. The thoughtful selection of plant species, unconventional landscaping and attention to detail make our clients trust us and entrust us with further tasks.
The projects we produce for public green spaces, the revitalisation of brownfield sites and nature studies allow us to creatively transform any existing environment into a welcoming, aesthetically pleasing place.
We carry out professional appraisals and evaluations of trees, shrubs, including specimens under conservation protection in areas listed in the register of historic buildings.
The modern garden
The contemporary nature of the garden, with its many functions on a small and steep surface, required a facelift of its old parts and, above all, the design of a comfortable swimming pool environment in sustainable wood species, which continues on the façade. We designed the terracing at the significant slope with discreet and effective glass protection. Stone paths, wooden platforms and stairs are led through gravel patios crowned with clumps of ornamental extra-tall grasses. There is a leisure area with a swimming pool and sauna on one level, and a place for social gatherings around a campfire/barbecue on another two levels. The whole area is complemented by plants with distinctive colours and a variety of textures, attractive at any time of the year. The investors wanted proximity to water and the possibility to spend time in the garden with a larger group all year round. In the southern part of the garden, we designed wooden terraces with canopies against the sun and rain in the immediate vicinity of the ornamental water reservoir. We have valorised the existing plants and, together with the garden owners, decided which plants to leave.
One of the objectives was to reduce the maintenance of the garden. Our original small architecture, non-mainstrim furniture, and discreet illumination of the entire establishment build a harmonious common space.
Objective: modern garden, minimum care, water in the garden

A mansion in Małopolska region
The investors’ courage, passion and forward-looking outlook helped us to create this timeless residential garden setting. The style of the garden was closely integrated with the architecture of the resulting residence.
The entrance gate directs us along the south frontage of the residence to the upper garden. On its terraces, we encircle a rich water parterre with a geometric layout, fountains, olive trees in pots and floral compositions. In the lower garden, in addition to the equally beautiful parterres, there are cut lawns and meanders of rhododendrons. The flower forms are particularly popular with the owners. It is the flowers that are the most delicate and ephemeral garden material. In landscape gardens, ornamental plants rarely cover significant areas, but grow by surprise into strong forms that accentuate a balanced composition. Species of shrubs, grasses and perennials are grouped together to create different scenery impressions. The autumn colours of the arborvitae and sedum beds fit in with the leading burgundy colour scheme of the establishment. The evergreen cushions of the dwarf pine ‘Mops’ or the soaring forms of the Caucasian spruce ‘Aureospicata’ complete the composition of this residential setting. Collections of roses and rhododendrons ensure flowering and rich colour throughout most of the year. The garden has a water system with two ponds. The first passes under a row of pergolas. On the second, wooden piers make it easy to observe the multicoloured fish. The delicate grass surroundings contrast with the grey sandstone of the retaining walls. The dominant part of the garden is occupied by a lively green lawn, interspersed with a geometric arrangement of paths and flowerbeds. The variety of plant species has been meticulously selected by the designers. As the trees grow, the garden changes to a park-like character. The next season surprises with new views and encourages relaxation and strolls.

In the picturesque Białka Tatrzańska
Right next to the Osada Białka Tatrzańska complex, not far from the whimsical charming river, we create an unparalleled garden setting. The snow-white pebble protected area and the sound of crystal mountain water create a unique atmosphere of the place. The owners hosting the tourists wanted each of the small cottages to have its own private garden with a terrace. The individual gardens are separated by raised flowerbeds. The gabions are filled with local stone. In the flowerbeds and terraces, evergreen shrubs foreshadow the coastal coniferous forest visible in the background. Ornamental grasses and trees direct the eye towards dreamlike sightlines while creating private mini enclaves for each cottage. Walking lawns complement the function of the noble wood terraces. The mountain garden is characterised by a careful selection of extremely hardy plant species. The designs of the individual gardens at the cottages provide an interesting element in the rhythmic composition of the entire space of the complex. The soft lines of pedestrian and vehicular traffic including the car park, the choice of elegant paving, the wooden shelters, the atmospheric illumination, complete a spectrum of views that one does not forget. The positive assessment of guests is the best reference for the facility.

Garden in a mountain valley
Landscape garden of the Beskid Mountains mountain valley accented with old trees
and metamorphosis of naturalistically designed hanging terraces with irregular shapes. Unexposed architectural concrete stripped of the geometric austerity of the retaining walls, boldly draws the steps of the cascade. Recreational and leisure terraces neutrally organise the slope, a meandering green garden cuts across the wooden terrace platforms. Architecture with historicising detailing blends into the landscape with terrazzo paving and natural cobbles.
An attribute of native species in many guises (common beech) Fagus sylvatica: ‘Dawyck Purple’ and ‘Dawyck Gold’, ‘Purple Fountain’, which are reminiscent of the Beskid Beech, together with firs and spruces perfectly assimilate our project into the remarkable landscape.
The species sculpt their own proper forms. From the entrance, orderly hedges of yew trees (Taxus baccata) with ‘Crimson Centra’ maples in contact with noble groundcover roses are inviting. The dwarf pines ‘Mops’ as cushions are complemented by strong in form balls and Canadian Christmas trees ‘Pendula’. The arborvitae meadows are coloured in autumn to the colour of the wooden terrace paving. Large grasses always present in our gardens, lavender fantastically organising the space.
Photos of the garden in the beautiful autumn weather were taken by Tomasz Ciesielski.

Garden in the mountains on the northern slope and Mai's visit to the Garden
A garden for contemplating the views of the Silesian and Low Beskid Mountains was created on the northern, exposed slope of the Skrzyczne massif. Challenges included several percent slopes, embanked ground, 750 metres above sea level and consequently a lot of long-lasting snow. In order to eliminate the steepness of the slopes and embankments, we chose to build retaining walls in the form of gabions filled with local broken stone. And so the garden took the form of multi-level terraces. Precisely selected trees, shrubs and perennials with with intense colours, snow-resistant, hardy lawns, have integrated the garden into a complex ecosystem sensitive to any unprofessional human interference. The spectacular opening of lines of sight to the Beskid Mountains peaks inspired the garden’s owners to invite Maja Popielarska to co-host an episode of the programme “Maja in the Garden”.
Objective: to inscribe the garden in the mountain landscape and terrain conditions, to open up views of the nearby mountain ranges

Romantic garden in the Subcarpathian region
In the Subcarpathian village of Pysznica, founded by King Sigismund August himself, we had the pleasure of designing a romantic garden. Delicate and subtle
in form. Pastel due to flowering plants, intense shades of green. Evergreen trees and shrubs blend in with the existing landscape. The owners wanted to add variety to the plain. Hence the raised beds on the ‘dry’ retaining walls. The new relief is defined by a good-quality recreational lawn that is automatically mowed and irrigated. The pergolas and gazebo, designed and realised to our design, lead the way through successive garden interiors. Their design, colours and accessories add lightness to the perspective of the local landscape and fit in with the existing architecture of the house by extending its living rooms.
Objective: romantic garden, original small architecture

Forest garden
Romantic garden art in a modernist version of the last turn of the century. Villas in prestigious districts of Bielsko-Biała, especially those from a century ago, inspire with the courage of the architect and the determination of the investor. Living space extended by a forest landscape. Old plum trees and a few veteran fruit trees, plus a willow, helped to create the idea. The location of the water, pergolas, trees, shrubs and valuable plant species create a unique atmosphere. The elevation of the area has given the plants better exposure. The water, of excellent quality and translucence, close to the user – an attribute of romantic gardens – closes the design. A storied effect dominates the composition. Starting from the bottom of the pond designed with the technology of a swimming pool, through the shrubs, the level in which we dwell, to the trees and vines of the pergola. It is these that give a quick and spectacular effect for a long time.

Greenery in the city
The extension of Plac Opatrzności Bożej together with the reconstruction of one of Bielsko-Biała’s main arteries is another key investment in Bielsko-Biała. The aim of our project was to highlight this street as a scenic axis towards the Baroque Church of the Divine Providence in Bielsko-Biała. Providence Church in Bielsko-Biała against the background of the surrounding mountain peaks. The Niwka stream flowing under the street is the leading motif of our project. It was ‘discovered’ in the pattern of the road surface as well as on the face of the roundabout in the form of scattered sandstone boulders. The river is also visible in the evening thanks to the blue illumination, which refers to the water surface. The oval shape of the roundabout and the elevated central part of the roundabout, which was requested by the developer, are intended to ensure the safety of road users.
In the square next to the church, raised stone pots have been designed with wooden seats. The whole development is ‘sunk’ in greenery with increased resistance to disease, pollution, temporary water shortages, snow cover and the so-called salt spray thrown from under the wheels in winter. In the selection of the plant cover, priority was given to fast growth, but not restricting visibility, showy and long flowering, ease of care and, of course, aesthetics.
The investment was preceded by a dendrological inventory due to the magnificent stand of chestnut trees (Aesculus hippocastanum).
The project was carried out under the supervision of a conservation officer from the Provincial Office for the Protection of Monuments in Katowice.
Objective: to emphasise the scenic axis of one of the main arteries in the city, new urban greenery

Scandinavian-style garden in Norway
A Scandinavian minimalist garden with a defined layout has been created on a Norwegian housing estate. A geometric arrangement of tall pots, spacious pedestrian and vehicular circulation using gravel, stone and large-format concrete slabs unlike in central Europe reduced to the role of a neutral third plan …background. This all blends in with the surrounding landscape and the Scandinavian atmosphere. In contrast to the straight lines, the plant cover is delicate in design. The minimalist fence was made from the same wood as the building facade. The garden is bordered by a natural evergreen hedge. The recreational lawns and wooden terraces fill up with house residents and their guests during spring and summer gatherings.
Objective: garden with a Scandinavian flair, modern garden

Ethnographic Park in Ślemień
Interest in history and culture is undoubtedly not the most important reason to visit the Ślemień open-air museum, although it is an unusual place for that reason too. There used to be an independent state here … the Slemień region.
The austere character of the traditional wooden buildings erected on heaps of gathered fieldstone, devoid of theatrical scenery and obtrusive styling, attracts above all seekers of authentic wooden architecture. All the buildings are renovated relics of exceptional cultural and historical value. of unique cultural and historical value, there are no replicas of furniture or furnishings..
The Żywiec Land Ethnographic Park in Ślemień was awarded a distinction by the Marshal in the competition for the Best Public Space in the Silesian Voivodeship 2013 – for its successful attempt to save the authentic values of the Żywiec Land region.
